announce that Ken Mallinson Transport, the family-run logistics and haulage

purpose-built warehouse operation in Goldthorpe, Rotherham.
KMS Transport

The Project
With a
long-standing reputation for dependable warehousing and logistics, Ken
Mallinson Transport were looking to strengthen their fulfilment operations with
rugged, fit-for-purpose mobile devices. Having trialled other devices, the team
were still looking to source a device that would withstand the demands of a
high-volume warehouse environment. Seeking a more reliable and robust solution
that would support the full span of their operation—from goods in and putaway
to picking and despatch—they turned to TouchStar for expert guidance and
support.
TouchStar
worked closely with the team at Ken Mallinson to understand the operational
environment, recommend a suitable specification, and support device testing
prior to rollout. Competitive pricing and responsive localised support were key
to the decision-making process, with the aim of increasing both efficiency and
uptime across the warehouse.
The Solution: Zebra TC22 Rugged PDA for Seamless Efficiency
After a
collaborative trial phase, the Zebra TC22 rugged pda was selected as the device
of choice for the business. Compact and rugged, the TC22 offered the robust
credentials needed to perform in the fast-paced warehouse environment, while
its user-friendly interface and ergonomic form factor made it easy to adopt
across the team.
The new
devices are set to support seamless operations throughout the warehouse by
enabling real-time data capture and minimising operational disruption. With a
reliable solution now in place, Ken Mallinson Transport can move forward
confidently with a system designed to support productivity and future growth.
